The suspension is defined as a heterogeneous mixture which consists of visible particles each of which contains many thousands of molecules, surrounded by molecules of the liquid.
Examples of suspension in daily life:
(i) Smoke: Particles of carbon in the air.
(ii) Mud: Fine particles of solid in the small quantity of liquid.
(iii) Foam: Particles of gas in a liquid.
(iv) Emulsion: A suspension of droplets of one liquid into another in which it is not soluble.
