Differentiate between internal commands and external commands.



INTERNAL COMMANDS :

  • The internal commands are always stored in RAM at the time of startup.
  • Internal commands cannot I be created.
  • Examples of internal commands are cls, data, copy, dir, etc. 
  • Only three MS-DOS files, commands, .com, 1/0 sys, MS-DOS, sys are enough for it

 

EXTERNAL COMMANDS :

  • Eternal commands are loaded only when required.
  • External commands can be created.
  • Examples of external commands are label, disk 1 copy, chk disk 
  • Except for basic files, the other files are also necessary
