Differences between light Microscope and Electron Microscope.



 

Light Microscope:

(i) It uses visible light for illumination.

(ii) It resolution power is very limited, just 0.2 μm.

(iii) It uses glass lenses for the formation of image and magnification.

 

Electronic Microscope:

(i) it uses a beam of electrons as a source of illumination.

(ii) Its resolution power is 0.2 nm which is a thousand times more.

(iii) It uses electromagnet as lenses instead of glass lenses.
