Define the following: (1) Transpiration (2) Osmosis (3) Diffusion



Transpiration:

Transpiration is the process b! which plant give out extra water from the stomata of their leaves, into the atmosphere.

 

Osmosis:

Osmosis is the process by which root hair absorbs water containing mineral salts from the soil.

 

Diffusion:

It is the movement of the molecule from the area of higher concentration to the area of lower concentration without any semi-permeable membrane between the two.
