Define the following: (1) Thermochemistry (2) Heat of Neutralization (3) Enthalpy



(i)Thermochemistry:

Thermochemistry is the branch of chemistry which deals with the study of heat changes in chemical reactions.

(ii) The heat of Neutralization:

The amount of heat released during a neutralization reaction in which 1 mole of water is formed, is called Heat of Neutralization.

(iii) Enthalpy:

The energy possessed by a substance is called Enthalpy.
