(i) Solubility:

is defined as the amount in grams of a solute required to be dissolved in 100 grams or 100 ml of a solvent to prepare a saturated solution at room temperature.

(ii) Molarity:

It is defined as the number of moles of solute dissolved in 1 litre (1 dm3) of a solution. It is_ denoted by M.

(iii) Molality:

It is defined as the number of moles of solute dissolved in 1000 gm (1 kg) of solvent It is denoted by m.
