Binary Fission:

Binary fission involves the division of an organism into two small sized, daughter organisms. ‘It is commonly observed in unicellular organisms like protozoa.

 

Multiple Fission:

Multiple fission involves the division of an organism into many small-sized daughter organisms. It occurs· in unicellular organisms, like Amoeba, during unfavorable conditions such as shortage of food or water.
